Married life was not easy due to Sheng Ping's higher status, and their relationship takes a turn for the worse when Guo Ai's former lover, Luo Xia, re-appears to drive a wedge between the two. When the angry Sheng Ping failed to attend her father-in-law's 70th birthday anniversary, Guo Ai in a drunken rage hits Princess Sheng Ping.
